The definition of the industry  4 .0  is the trend towards automation and data sharing in manufacturing technologies through three main elements: the Internet of Things, Physical Cybernetic Systems and Cloud Computing.

In the construction sector, currently so needed to carry out this transformation, the term Construction 4.0 has emerged.

What is construction 4.0?

Construction 4.0 starts from implementing the industrialization of its processes. We have to understand the new works as industrialized construction processes, with the contribution that this gives, in speed, perfection of components to contribute to the work, and eliminating the risk that a manufacturing process can entail. In other words, incorporate technology into one of the most important sectors in our country.

Why is this “transformation” needed in the construction sector?

Currently the sector is in a new economic, social, and technological scenario, which forces the sector to transform itself to achieve greater efficiency.

There is increasing difficulty in hiring specialized labour, and the existing one has a heavy workload, which has an impact on start-up and execution times. This lengthens the returns on investment and generates discontent in the end customer.

On the other hand, this creates a high dependence on the good work of the workforce, and this can ruin all the work of the rest of the "actors" of the work.

Construction 4.0 has a series of pillars:

1.- The industrialization of construction processes.

2.- Incorporation of technologies

3.- The interoperability of human and material resources through the use of the Internet of Things, cloud computing and robotics.

4.- Virtualization of construction processes for their improvement

5.- Decentralization of decision-making through the use of information in real time.

6.- Orientation of customer service, giving it prominence in different phases of the work.

7- Modularity to make the response on site as flexible as possible.

On the other hand, the Lean approach, which consists of the "drastic reduction of construction activities with people on site to improve the efficiency of the processes and their safety, through improvements in the planning systems, the creation of modular construction systems and automation of on-site operations.

What does the efficient TABIHAUS ® construction system contribute to Construction 4.0?

From TABIHAUS® we provide all the values, concepts, and means that this transformation requires:

1.- Industrialization and standardization of our construction process, implementing robotics in the construction sector.

2.- Standardization of our products, through our robotic manufacturing processes in air-conditioned rooms for temperature and humidity, guaranteeing the standardization of our products, whatever the shift and time of year in which it is manufactured.

3.- Custom manufacturing based on technical requirements, mainly transmittance, maximizing quality and minimizing costs.

4.- Standardization of the execution on site, in terms of transmittance, impermeability and evacuation of water vapor. We guarantee that in each area of the work, these parameters are exactly those indicated in the project. Therefore, we eliminate critical areas or construction errors.

5.- Extremely simple system to assemble, thus minimizing the risks due to poor execution of the workforce, or at least excessive dependence on it.

6.- Help architecture studios and construction companies, by transferring files from our CAD system, with their implementation in BIM. An intranet is established between the factory, architecture studio, and construction management, so that changes or improvements are shared in real time, and the whole team works with the same data, eliminating communication errors and wasting time.
